1Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account or using loyl, you agree to these Terms of Use, our Refund & Cancellation Policy, and our Privacy Policy (loyl.world/privacy.html). If you don't agree, don't use the app.
If you use loyl on an Apple device, Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies, alongside these terms.
2Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use loyl. By creating an account, you confirm you meet this requirement.
3What loyl is, and what it isn't
- loyl lets you create and chat with AI-generated companions. Every companion is an AI, not a real person. Nothing a companion tells you is a factual claim from a human being.
- loyl's Mood Insights feature uses AI pattern-matching over your own messages to estimate a daily mood trend. This is not a clinical or diagnostic tool and should not be treated as one.
- loyl is not a substitute for professional mental health care, medical advice, or emergency services. If you are in crisis, contact a local emergency number or a crisis helpline. In India, Tele-MANAS (14416 / 1-800-891-4416) is available 24/7.
4Your account
- You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account.
- One person, one account. Don't create an account on behalf of someone else without their knowledge.
5Acceptable use
You agree not to use loyl to create personas or send messages that:
- Impersonate a real, identifiable person without their consent.
- Depict a minor in a romantic or sexual context, in any form.
- Contain child sexual abuse material in any form. This is never tolerated and will be reported to the relevant authorities.
- Are unlawful under Indian law, or facilitate harassment, hate speech, or violence against any person or group.
- Attempt to extract, reverse-engineer, or misuse the underlying AI systems.
Full detail is in our Community Guidelines. We may remove content or suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section, with or without notice, depending on severity.
6Content you create
You retain rights to the personas and messages you create. By using loyl, you grant us a licence to store, process, and transmit that content as necessary to operate the service, including sending your messages to our AI providers to generate replies (see the Privacy Policy).
7AI limitations
AI-generated replies can be inaccurate, inconsistent, or inappropriate. We do not guarantee the accuracy, reliability, or appropriateness of anything a companion says. Don't rely on loyl for factual, medical, legal, or financial decisions.
8Replies, payments and subscriptions
- Each reply from a companion uses one reply from your balance. New accounts get a one-time set of free replies, which expire three months after they are granted.
- You can buy more replies as one-time reply packs or as subscription plans. The price, the number of replies, and how long they stay valid are shown in the app before you buy.
- On Android, payments are processed by Razorpay. On iPhone and iPad, payments are charged to your Apple ID by Apple.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the price shown until you cancel. Each period adds that plan's replies, and any replies left over expire when the period ends.
- Replies have no cash value and can't be transferred, exchanged, or redeemed for money.
- We may change prices or plans. A price change for a subscription applies from the next renewal after we tell you, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
9Refunds and cancellation
All purchases are final. Once a payment goes through, it is not refunded, in full or in part, including for replies you haven't used or time left in a subscription period. Cancelling a subscription stops future renewals; your plan and its replies stay until the current period ends.
The only exceptions are billing errors, such as being charged twice for one purchase or being charged without replies being added. Purchases made through Apple are refunded only by Apple, under Apple's own policies. Full detail, including how to cancel, is in our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms.
10Termination
You can delete your account at any time from Profile > Settings not in the app yet. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate section 5 or applicable law, or for security reasons. Deleting your account, or having it terminated for a violation, does not entitle you to a refund, and any unused replies are lost. Delete or cancel any active subscription separately so it doesn't renew.
11Disclaimers and limitation of liability
loyl is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, AI Novem Labs LLP is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including reliance on anything an AI companion says or on Mood Insights. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim arose.
12Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes will first go through our Grievance Officer, whose details are published at grievance page link to be added. The courts of city to be added will have jurisdiction over any dispute that isn't resolved that way.
13Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use loyl after a change means you accept the updated terms.
